From Tbilisi to the Caucasus

One of my photographs from Georgia was selected for the cover of Lonely Planet Magazine (Italian edition).

Inside the issue, a 14-page reportage explores Tbilisi, the Kakheti wine region and the dramatic landscapes of the Greater Caucasus, reaching as far as Stepantsminda near the Russian border.

The project combined writing and photography, tracing a route from the layered architecture of the Georgian capital to the vineyards of Kakheti and onward to the high-altitude churches and vast horizons of the Caucasus Mountains.

It required long nights of editing and writing, shaping a narrative that moves between urban texture, rural traditions and mountain solitude. The result is a comprehensive portrait of contemporary Georgia — a country defined by contrast, hospitality and landscape.
